Super Accessibility Logos

Super Accessibility LogosOne of the most recognizable symbols in modern culture and the disabled community is the international accessibility logo.♿️ With this ongoing art project I hope to reclaim this symbol for something a bit more exciting. In a time when disabled representation is still extremely limited I have decided to depict comic book, film, television, video-game and pop-culture icons as the updated accessibility symbol.

Many of these designs available as T-shirts, phone cases, mugs and prints on my TeePublic store here.

I love your work! I’ve got a project of my own in the works and part of my mission is to “shatter the symbol”. I’ve always felt the accessiblity symbol emphasized that old preconceived notion that a person with a disability sits around watching the world pass him by and not embracing the reality that people with disabilities work, play and live life to the fullest. I do feel that the recently updated symbol represents people with disabilities in a more positive manner.

Would love to see more women characters. But appreciate the sentiment of strength regardless of differences.
